Ameri can Red Cross chairman Milton C. Yainter says relief funds cover about $16000 worth of clothes for Louisiana school children as part of food relief. About $5,0 of the total came from a benefit show featuring Dorothy Lamour in New Orleans.
The Red Cross revealed 380 complete clothing sets were sent to Evangeline parish and 200.10 Pointe Coupee, 100 to Cameron, 1600 Calcasion, 990 to Jefferson Davis, 1 000 to Acadia, 1 080 to Vermilion, 800 to St. Martin, 1 000 to St. Landry and 300 to Lafayette with 500 in reserve. Distribution will be managed by committees of Red Cross, PTA, and school board representatives. Children served were not from families already under Crosse care.
