Gloria Caruso, daughter of the late Enrico Caruso, is granted two thirds of royalties from Victor talking machine records now estimated near one million dollars. Denver police officer Robert K. Evans died of gunshot wounds after a shooting at Denver General Hospital. Nurse Farie King, said to have had a five year long affair with Evans, killed Evans in bed and then shot herself, later dying. Hospital aide Louis Smith, wounded earlier, reported seeing the events and that Miss King fired the fatal shot after noting Evans’s presence in the ward.
President Coolidge approves the Federal Board of Hospitalization recommendation to buy a Veterans Bureau hospital site in Bernard Township Somerset County New Jersey. The Knowlcroft property spans 280 acres with the purchase price not disclosed.
