Watson, a well known Iron Mountain conductor serving Monroe routes, survived an attempted attack by a negro brakeman stopped by a deputy sheriff. Chevellon’s body to be shipped to New Orleans for burial. his mother lives at 928 Montague street there.
Washburn defeated the Kansas State Agricultural College eleven 26 to 18 in Manhattan to halt a six year skid. The game featured dazzling formations and open play but Washburn's older style game prevailed.
