In Portsmouth Ohio on November 25, fifty one men and women arrested in the FBI crackdown on an alleged white slavers ring in Ironton remain in federal custody with bonds from five to ten thousand dollars. Twenty nine women were housed in Cincinnati workhouse awaiting federal court action with most held as material witnesses under five thousand dollar bonds. Arraigned yesterday the women sought preliminary hearings as they were transported to Cincinnati by special bus due to Scioto county jail being unable to contain them.
