New Orleans Nov 25 Miss Lil Man Norvell 20 a society favorite in Confederate circles and daughter of a distinguished family, eloped with Jose Mejia 25, an Orpheum orchestra member, and married at St Francis of Assisi church. The groom had a home in Lakeview. Mrs Norvell, learning of the elopement, went to the bride’s home and a scene followed with an ambulance summoned. Mrs Mejia told police her mother threatened suicide. Both mother and bride fainted. Mrs Norvell calls the marriage heartbr eak ing because he is Mexican. Mrs Norvell is keeper of the Milneburg lighthouse.
