Miss Kay LeBlanc of Abbeville, fiancee of Lewis Coleman Jarrell of Columbia, was honored at a Saturday bridge party at Mrs. Dan Moore Jr's home and a Friday tea in Columbia hosted by Mrs. Lewis Boamer Jarrell. Decor featured bronze, gold, and white chrysanthemums with a wedding theme. Guests included Mrs. Dudley J. LeBlanc and many local ladies. the reception line and refreshments followed a bridal motif with Bohemian tea served from a silver service.

Miss May Read, secretary to Dean Rodney Cline at Northeast Junior College, has recovered after a serious operation in St Francis hospital. Word comes of the illness of the Rev Harold F Bayer in an Evansville Indiana hospital. he is husband of former Miss Juanita Hemphill. Miss June Cox is a patient in a local hospital.
