Ecker was found near Edisto Beach after a fishing trip with three friends when their boat capsized off Seabrook Island. Pilot Jack Southworth located the body about 15 miles south of the Morawetz estate area. James Merrill Herd Jr. remains missing as rescue efforts continue. two others were rescued by a shrimp trawler.
