In Alexandria Superintendent T. H. Harris spoke in support of the Orleanian at a local gathering. Attendance and reactions were reported as part of the campaign coverage.
John T. Michel, candidate for governor, drew about 850 people to a Rapides Theatre appearance in Alexandria on November 17.
