Theater owner cleared in Powell murder case
Alpheus E. Dickson a Denver theater owner was acquitted of murdering Herbert H. Powell a 19 year old butcher whom Dickson killed July 8 after finding him with his wife in his home Dickson testified self defense saying Powell grappled with him and a gun fired. The jury deliberated seven minutes.
