Six deputy sheriffs tore down a massive still in Morehouse parish trapping over 1,250 gallons of mash and more than 100 gallons of whisky. Operators Walter Hoyt and William Stansbury were arrested on illegal whisky possession while a large cash haul accompanied the raid. The operation, located near the Ouachita line, featured 27 barrels, wooden supports, kerosene lanterns, and a water system, evidence of a sophisticated setup.
