A large parade and ceremony at the Paramount celebrate Armistice Day. Speakers including Rev. Ernest Holloway and Mr. Robertson address the crowd about victory, Red Cross relief, and public resolve. Flags, bands, and taps mark the solemn commemorations on South Grand Street.
In a tense scene Tarzan declares liberty and life override love as vyare Janzara considers aiding his escape. Princess Janzara confronts Tarzan about his loyalties while Talaskar and Komodoflorensal listen from the corridor as the escape plan unfolds.
National guard Admiral Captain Bolleigh led Section 1 while John Bailey captained Section 2 American Legion units. Veterans of Foreign Wars under L L McLeod and Spanish War vet under W B Mangham. West Monroe Rodeo overseen by W C Feazel. Civic floats led by J B Swanson and W E Laws. Mayor Arnold Bernstein and Gov. O K Allen staff joined. Other groups included Teflis Grotto Boys' Municipal Band Firemen's Band VFW drum corps Red Cross Salvation Army Monroe Welfare Ouachita Tuberculosis Public Health Louisiana Training Institute wartime nurses. Parade moved from South Grand to DeSiard then Sixth Grammont DeSiard Paramount theater where it disbanded.
Capt. Louis Ballard of a local gas company departs this morning with his first aid squad for Shreveport to compete in the first aid contest. Teams from across Louisiana participate. The Chinese land spans a quarter of Asia from Pamir to the Pacific and from Siberia to India.

Five people were killed when a plane departed from a flying field en route from Chicago to Florida. The crash occurred about four hours after takeoff near the village of Kempville in Smith county close to Carthage. A search party located the wreckage after midnight, finding a single tree toppled by the impact.
Dr. Robinson described a wreckage that rumbled and then quieted as it coasted. A search team of about 23 to 30 recovered the broken remains. Four adults died at the scene and a young girl died at a private home after being transported to Kempville. The Hirt couple were about 50 to 55, with a younger woman in her early twenties.
Joseph F. Hirt of Chicago perished in an aviation accident near Kempville Tennessee along with his wife and three others. He owned extensive financial interests in Fort Lauderdale while managing a wood working plant there and developing a Pompano farm. A WWI propeller contract holder and private pilot, he edited a wood workers publication until a year ago.
West Monroe voters go to the polls Tuesday to approve an $85,000 bond for spillways and viaducts to drain the district into the river. Flood gates and pumping units are listed, with the drainage board and commissioners named as responsible for funding and management.
