Robbery Foiled As Jitney Jungle Bandit Captured
A man identifying as Jack Moore 26 of Monroe was jailed after a failed daylight attempt to rob Jitney Jungle No 4 at 2411 South Grand Street. Two accomplices fled leaving a $1500 safe and $4 50 from a cash register. one dropped a key near the Alvis hotel. Police seized Moore at the front. others fled. The two escaped had checked in at the Alvis hotel a week earlier under aliases J C Smith and Maybew Silk.
