Rites Held For Plane Crash Victim In Ferriday
Funeral services were held for Shelton O. Lancaster 25 air force veteran and pilot of a Cessna 140. His two brothers in law Joseph Lucas Jr. 20 and Gary Lucas 12 of Thunderbolt Ga. died when the plane nose dived two miles north of Ferriday near Campbell Harris plantation. Lucas widow and daughter accompanied the bodies to Savannah Ga. for further services. The crash is being investigated by CAA and is believed to have been caused by overloading or stall conditions.
