Train Robbery Near Paxton Ends in Fire and Shootout
The New Orleans Limited was held up two miles south of Paxton Illinois with ten bandits. Four train crew were wounded and two mail pouches stolen before the robbers fled west in two automobiles. A destructive fire was set in the mail car and hundreds of officers searched central Illinois towns for the gang.
