Sweet Potato Curing Plant Expands In Ouachita Parish
The Ouachita Sweet Potata Curing company operates a 45 by 120 foot curing and storage house with 85 to 90 degree temperatures and three months storage for 25 cents. Farm Agent Jackson says the South potato industry is expanding though many rotting in fields due to inadequate storage. Other storage houses by Guy B. Stubbs C W Phillips and John Parker exist in the parish. Officers include President Samuel L Humble Vice President H M McGuire and S M Jackson as secretary treasurer.
