Berlin dispatch reports shattered German forces retreating rapidly on an eighty five mile front. Sedans under American fire reported as pivotal in affecting suffrage stance. An official statement says the German armistice delegation has left for peace talks on the western front.
Allied troops advance as German forces retreat from the Belgian frontier toward the Aisne. British, French, Belgians, and Americans seize positions from Ghent to Valenciennes and along the Meuse while noting German rear guards and civilian crowds nearby. In Louisiana, suffrage passes with 258 majority. Ward 1 reports no votes.
