Officials urge high risk residents to vaccinate soon noting exposure to the A Victoria flu last year with some cases reported. Over 60 000 Louisiana residents have received the vaccine with no deaths or serious reactions reported.
Gov. Edwin Edwards said he mis spoke about letting American businessmen pay bribes to foreign officials. He denied condoning bribes, cited Park gifts to his wife totaling $10,000, and blamed earlier questioning for his outburst amid Carter campaign boos.
