Bandits in Parral region seized a Carranza bound passenger train near Lagoon station, looting baggage and personal items. A Ger man passenger and several Americans were involved in the incident amid reports Villa forces had captured Parral and advanced from Sante Fe, with casualties including a conductor shot in the hip and several Carranza soldiers killed or wounded.
New York, Nov. 3. Police thwarted plots to dynamite two subway stations by arresting six men, several alleged strikers, on charges of bringing dynamite into the city and blast at the 1291 street station on October 24. Arrested include James A. Murno, James J. Herlihy, George Pollock, Lawrence Kulle, Benjamin Harrison, and Thomas J. McGuire. Evidence links Street Carmen's Union funds to the explosions.}
