Norfolk Va Nov 2 A schooner lies stranded southeast of the life saving station in a forty mile gale. Two crew members are lashed to the rigging while others are lost and unable to reach lines tossed from shore. The vessel is being battered to pieces.
The Louisville and Nashville bridge across the bay at Bay St. Louis Mississippi burned this morning destroying 200 feet of the structure. The blaze is still burning but reportedly under control as a high north wind drives flames.
