The case involves attempts to evade 135739 93 dollars in taxes for 1936 37 38 by the Burton company. A mistrial occurred in 1943 after the jury failed to reach a verdict.
The Associated Press reports Memorial Day year observance had 54 accidental deaths, far below last year’s 327. Traffic deaths reached 15 with Pennsylvania and Ohio each reporting eight fatalities and Police Chief Ralph Herrod of Westmont among the victims.

William Joyce and Norman Baillie-Steward will be flown to England in military custody and expected to face Bow Street court in London on arrival.
