Fire Damages Bakery and Adjacent Building in Early Morning Blaze

An early morning fire at 2 40 sparked in the rear of Iron Mountain Bakery causing about 4000 dollars in damage to the bakery and an adjoining house. The bakery owned by J F Wetzel carried 1000 dollars insurance, Iron Mountain Bakery 1500, upstairs occupant L F Krognire with 209. Abe Arent owned the adjoining house used by S Wilson’s barber shop and R C Bakers restaurant where barber shop suffered 25 dollars loss with no insurance. Baker held 500 dollars insurance. Origin of the fire is unknown. Congress member J W Elder left for Washington after ten days at home as House and Senate debated tariff bills.
