Death of former U S Senator Thomas Dodd
Former U S Senator Thomas Dodd of Connecticut died at 64 from a heart attack in OLD LYME. He was censured in 1967 for campaign fund use and failed to win re-election as an independent in 1968. Survived by Grace Murphy and six children. He helped push gun control and anti-Communist causes and served as chief trial counsel at Nuremberg.
