Hussey Cuts Louisiana Oil Allowable for Third Time
Louisiana Conservation Commissioner John B. Hussey reduced the June oil allowable to 928 927 barrels daily, down 54 383 from May. The cut follows a pre Suez level of 749 000 and a March peak of 990 642. About 35 000 barrels of the reduction comes from lowering dual completed wells to 1.5 times single wells. The rest uses a two per cent depth bracket formula and a 10 000 barrel adjustment for new production.

Dies of heart attack a Ouachita High teacher Stricklin
Frederick Lee Stricklin 58 a science teacher at Ouachita Parish High School for 27 years died late last night of a heart attack. He was reading at home 2413 North Ninth West Monroe. Funeral arrangements were incomplete Mulhearn Funeral Home to handle services. Interment in Hasley Cemetery. He was a World War I veteran and member of several local and state organizations. He is survived by his widow.
