The Louisiana Senate held a 90 minute executive session behind locked doors and later refused comment on a previous secret meeting with Gov. Robert Kennon. The New Orleans States says the Senate pressed for definite commitments on patronage or risk losing Senate support. Senator Robert A. Ainsworth was named to chair a committee to present the decision to Kennon. Prior action included a summons for Kennon to an executive session over three administrator appointments. Governor Kennon was not called to the secret session, and no confirmations were submitted. Senator James Sparks introduced a bill to bar interim governors appointments from earning salaries before Senate confirmation.

Officers Seek 15 Year Old Bonnie Wainwright Missing

Monroe police search Tuesday for Bonnie Jean Wainwright age 15 of 2008 Jackson Street reported missing by her mother. She is five feet two inches, 119 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair. She was last seen leaving home wearing a red suit.
