A three pilot, tri motor Fokker airliner carrying twelve passengers flew from New York to Selman and Maxwell field Montgomery in three hours. Pilcher Receives Life Sentence For Bus Killing
Charles W. Pilcher aged 51 was sentenced by Judge Percy Sandel to life in the state penitentiary for the murder of Walter Barrett 63 on November 16, 1927. The trial disclosed a bus argument over Pilcher’s treatment of Barrett’s niece whom Pilcher later married.
