Skylab Repair Delayed Five Days Toward May 25

CAPE KENNEDY Fla AP The Space Agency announced another five day delay in Skylab 1 launch to Friday May 25 to fix a overheating problem in the $294 million station. Astronauts will fly a repair mission including a space walk to fit a sunshade. Charles Conard Jr Joseph P Kerwin and Paul J Weitz are the planned crew with potential 28 day flight and later 56 day Skylab missions. Authorities at Cape Kennedy Houston Huntsville and contractor plants seek detailed recommendations and timetable by Thursday afternoon.

Two Area Roads Reopened As Waters Drop

Louisiana Highway Department officials report two area roads have reopened to traffic as flood waters recede. White's Ferry Road La 143 in Ouachita Parish is open from Arkansas Road to the Union Parish line, and La 592 in Morehouse Parish is open between Parker Bridge and the Point Pleasant Bridge. Area Employment Shows Increase in Monroe Labor Market
