London May 15 Sir Roger Casement, linked to the Sinn Fein rebellion, was arraigned with Daniel Julian Bailey on high treason charges. The attorney general said Casement led a campaign among Irish prisoners in Germany to seduce allegiance, stressing gains for Ireland by Germany’s victory. Bailey, an ex-soldier, aided the plan and reported Casement’s talks and the submarine landing at Tralee.
