New Plan Outlined For Frantz School Rebuilding
The Ninth Ward Private School Association released plans for a 380 classroom $300,000 building to serve 1,000 former students from William Jantz and McDonogh 19. Armand Davie said construction could start for the fall term with funds from a $300,000 drive and state and grant support. The facility would have 30 classrooms in three 10 classroom sections totaling 27,000 square feet. Frantz and McDonogh 19 were integrated on Nov 14 under court orders with partial attendance from white and Black students since then.
