Formal dedication of a new 4 million addition to Monroe s St. Francis Hospital will be held 2 p m Sunday with an address by Dr Henson S Coon new president of the Louisiana State Medical Society Following dedication the facilities include a two story front addition and a five story rear addition and boiler room many leaders will inspect Bishop of Alexandria Charles P Greco will officiate and Dr Henry E Guerriero will be master of ceremonies Presentation of the building will be made by R L Barrett and Stuart C Pugh The new addition boosts adult beds from 250 to 340 plus 61 pediatric beds New x ray department features a 60000 cobalt therapy unit and new surgical suites More officials expected to attend include Monroe Mayor W L Howard and West Monroe Mayor pro tem A E Duncan plus several representatives and police jury members.

Missing Girls Returning Home From Fort Worth Trip
LAKEWOOD California police said two Fort Worth men transported six runaway girls to the West Coast. Detroiter in high speed chase linked to Fredericksburg killings
A Detroit man 26 Bruce Walter Leikett was captured after a high speed chase ending in a wreck that killed another driver. Police say he will be questioned about the Fredericksburg officers killings and a New Jersey service station attendant death. Guns and handcuffs from the Fredericksburg case were found in his wrecked car along with a gun of the same type used in the crimes. Leikett, an ex convict with a theft record, was held at Wayne County General Hospital. Authorities say Leikett was not previously known to Fredericksburg or Newark police.》
