Final Cotton Crop Estimate Released for 1961
The Agriculture Department sets 1961 cotton at 14,318,000 bales and cottonseed at 5,978,000 tons. Compared with 1960's 14,272,000 bales and 5,886,000 tons, the 1961 crop shows a value of $2,653 million for cotton plus seed, up 10 percent.
