Jackson Miss March 30 District Attorney McNeil refused to supply the Senate with Bilbo testimony before the Hinds county Grand Jury. He said The Senate be damned as the stenographic report of Bilbo's grand jury evidence was requested. The testimony related to an alleged bribe during Leroy Percys race for the senatorial seat in Jackson.
The Mississippi State Senate, behind closed doors, begins investigating Senator Theo Bilbo over a claimed $645 bribe from L. C. Dulaney to switch his vote in the recent senatorial contest involving Leroy Percy and former Governor Vardaman. Witnesses will be summoned. a stenographic report will be made.
