107 Year Old Negro Morris Dies in Mangham Home
William Morris, colored, reported 107, born a slave in North Carolina, died at his son's Mangham home Monday night. He left sixteen children, eight living, oldest 70, youngest Robert Morris 37 of 1412 Washington St. Funeral and interment at Mangham Oakley House in memory of John James Audubon who resided there in Louisiana. Mrs. Gilbert Stovall served on the resolutions committee.
