Paris reports indicate a Soviet government plan to take charge in Austria and merge with the Hungarian Soviet government. Vienna sources claim a date in April for transporting the new regime into power, with fears of Bolshevik influence spreading from Budapest.
New York March 25 Poetmaster General Burleson dismissed Clarence H Mackay as president of the Postal Telegraph Cable Co The move drew from Mackay a sharp rebuke calling it despotic brutal and a conspiracy to wreck the Postal telegraph system He vowed to fight to the last dollar and the last ditch asserting misuse of department instructions and possible prosecutions if ignored.
Alexandria March 24 delegates from the Misiana division head camp of Woodmen of the World begin arriving for the biennial convention to open tomorrow at 3:30 PM in Rapides Theatre and Woodmen Hall Attendances include Gen A L Booth Senator J M Stafford and others from New Orleans Baton Rouge Oakdale Shreveport and Coushatta The Lake Charles degree team arrives Wednesday to confer protection degree on about 200 candidates with several state and local officials present.

J. W. McWilliams will replace R. I. Prophit Jr. as secretary of the Monroe Building and Loan Association. Prophit resigns to devote full time to a growing real estate business. McWilliams, then with Citizens' Nations Bank, plans to assume duties by April as he has long been known in public and semi public roles in Monroe.
