Doerr is principal of South High School Grand Rapids and pastor of the Disciples of Christ in Cascade Michigan. Previously he served as captain since 1925 and was an ensign in the US NRFB during World War I aboard the US S Prattens.

Davis Denzel Davis 24 of Seattle was hanged at the state penitentiary in Walla Walla for the ice pitch slaying of his mother Harriet Arnold on March 18, 1940.
