George Holmes a 64 year old former El Paso valley rancher convicted in 1919 and jailed in Leavenworth for exporting war munitions to Pancho Villa was killed with Jose Ramos in the Chihuahua mountains on March 16. Holmes owned rich Chihuahua mines near La Campre de San Manuel and left Juarez a month ago to visit them. He is survived by his widow and two brothers in San Antonio and Lima Peru.
