A runaway bus plowed into a rush hour crowd at a busy Pittsburgh corner injuring 16 and killing two. Victims included Sam Hood, 42, veteran Pittsburgh Press reporter and columnist, and Mrs. Sally F. Strait, 54, Roosevelt Hotel cashier. Hood died of head and internal injuries. Strait was cut in the abdomen.
