His body was found at 3:15 p.m. in his room, slumped face forward in a chair. Hall Funeral home will handle arrangements.

The Assembly of God church on Cypress street in West Monroe moved its parsonage to the property's west side to create space for a new auditorium and Sunday school rooms. A church spokesman says work is not immediate but will be needed as the congregation grows and Rev. Bill Johnson leads active development in his 14 months as pastor.
Harry H. Hudson, chairman of the advance gifts division of the Ouachita parish chapter, American Red Cross, announced that his group had reached 56 percent of its quota. The division represents half of the parish goal of 41500 and the drive urged all solicitations be completed by Friday. Co. D. McAdams, division captain, was the first to report 100 percent of his quota.
