Two Fined In District Court for Minor Violations
In a brief Fourth District Court session Judge Mack E. Barham fined General White, 41, of Monroe for illegal carrying of a weapon and disturbing the peace, totaling $125 plus costs after he withdrew a not guilty plea. Eugene Darden, 23, of Fort Dix New Jersey, was fined $25 plus costs for speeding.

Dave Garroway sells beach house before storm wrecks it
Television star Dave Garroway sold his $39,000 beach house on Tuesday. Heavy seas undermined the structure and carried it into the Atlantic on Wednesday. The buyer was Ira Fisher of Manhattan. The home was among 43 demolished in the storm. Garroway now lives in the Catskills.
