Chicago March 1 A federal grand jury indicts Charles R Forbes former director of the Veterans Bureau on bribery and conspiracy charges. John W Thompson also indicted for bribery related acts and surrendering on bond. Indictments allege payments to congressmen and favors in exchange for clemency and liquor permits. Col Forbes expected to surrender in Chicago as Thompson protests innocence.
