Large turnout anticipated for the inauguration events with preparations underway. Reports confirm involvement of President Wilson and Vick in the ceremonies, signaling a significant public welcome.
Washington marching into Wilson and Marshall era as capital gears for the first Democratic inauguration in sixteen years. A grand illumination plan lights Pennsylvania avenue and city landmarks while police brace for crowds, pickpockets, and traffic.
Tonight will be fair and colder with freezing temperatures overnight. Sunday expected to be fair with light winds and pleasant daytime conditions.

Chicago March 1 Former U S marshal William H Whittlesey traveled 157 miles by dog team and 3856 miles by rail to testify in the 10 million dollar Alaskan coal land fraud case against Albert C Frost and eight co defendants. The conspiracy indictment accuses defrauding the U S government of 19600 acres valued at 10 million dollars. The crime began Chicago April 1 1908. Penalty is up to 10000 fine or two years imprisonment per count.
New York March 1. R E Walker of New Jersey is set to become attorney general with official announcement expected soon. Walker, then a New Jersey chancellor, drafted the seven sisters anti trust bills at Wilson's request and is described as Wilson’s close political and personal friend.
New Orleans March 1 state that the will of John Wright was probated and his $721 44 bequeathed to the white Children’s Orphanage. Wright killed himself February 14 by hanging after displaying the act to onlookers near a fashionable city block. A note requested the funds be placed with the orphanage in a safety deposit box.
Miss Annie Burt McGraw a Union parish school teacher spent today in Monroe as a guest of friends visiting the city during a short outing with local acquaintances.
New Orleans March 1 A check for 1177.24 drawn by the State treasurer to pay the salary and traveling expenses of A Bernard the state high school inspector for four months of 1912 and January 1913 figures in public comment An attempt to trace legal authority for the payment failed The check is not covered by a specific appropriation and Louisiana statutes recognize no such officer.
In Mexico City on March 1 Associated Press reports Governor Fuentes fled to the hills with state funds after government troops seized Aguas Calientes. General Felip Angels, named military attaché to Belgium this week, was formally charged with the unwarranted execution of Miguel Garduna during the capital fighting.
A Secretary Wilson order releases over nineteen thousand square miles in the Southern States from quarantine. The move drops cattle removal bans in much of the region but keeps restrictions in Florida Louisiana and large portions of Mississippi and Texas under certain conditions.
The City League baseball boys regret Mr C G Johnson leaving Monroe. He was one of the most enthusiastic supporters of the organization last year.
