C A Bezio manager of Sears Roebuck was named Boss of the Year by the Tupanek Chapter of the American Business Women Association at a Boss Night banquet. Betty Jackson presented Juliana Matravers as Woman of the Year. An Old South theme featured antique lamps, a cannons flanked head table, Magnolia foliage arches, and remarks from Gilbert Faulk outgoing Boss of the Year. Adele Watson received a scrapbook chairman award. Melba Oliver and Mary Zeagler spoke on ABWA history and creed. Entertainment by the Dixie Dans and Zeagler cited Barber Shop Quartet style.

Local Couple Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Osterman were honored at a 50th wedding anniversary party hosted by their daughter and son in law Mrs. Donald Helsen of Dallas and Mr. Helsen.
