Angola Convicts Rob Man and Wife in Mississippi Escape

Rufus Yates, 29, West Carroll Parish farmer, died at Charity hospital Shreveport from a May 26 gunshot wound to the spine. Mary Ann Robinson, 65, said she fired in self defense as she and her husband and daughter witnessed a shotgun struggle. Yates was treated at home then taken to Shreveport and buried in Forest Cemetery.
