James McNutt, 23, son of FL McNutt of Alexandria, died in a wreck near Loggy Bayou on Highway 7 while driving a cattle truck en route to Alexandria. The crash occurred about 4 o clock today, as the truck veered from the road and struck a railing.

Police chief James C. Kelly Jr announced temporary removal of parking on North 9 Seventh Street between DeSiard and Washington streets. Traffic will move both ways during the ban while DeSiard Street work is completed, and the city praises public cooperation amid street improvements.
