In Omaha a ten year old girl gave birth to a son in an Omaha hospital. Both mother and baby, six pounds eight ounces, are reported healthy. Identity of the likely father is known. The delivery required no special measures and the girl, white, had recent blood transfusions. Physicians call ten year old pregnancy rare for the region.
The Valley Gas Pipeline Co proposed a 1,440 mile pipeline from Texas and Louisiana to Southern Michigan and Indiana. The project, costing 144.5 million dollars, seeks federal approval to serve about 9 million people with a daily gas capacity of 505 million cubic feet. Construction would begin within two days of approval, targeting completion by April 1, 1952, and would pass through Go liad county and Vermilion Bay Louisiana, El Dorado and Jonesboro Arkansas, Cape Girardeau Missouri, Lawrenceville Illinois, Terre Haute Indiana, and Atlanta Indiana, ending in Southern Michigan with a compressor station at Popular Bluff Missouri.
