Government forces declare martial law in parts of Mexico after a failed uprising. Troops report successful containment of the unrest with authorities asserting control in key cities and regions. Public order restored amid nationwide security measures.
In Cananea on June 22 authorities seized arms smuggled from the United States and arrested leaders of a northern Mexico faction led by followers of Reyes and Madero. Martial law was proclaimed in border towns as police raid villages. guns and ammunition were seized at Villaverde Chivectria Buena Vista and dealers in Bisbee Douglas and Naco sold out stock. More arrests followed as troops, gendarmes, and rurales fortified Cananea ahead of election day actions planned for June 26.

Chief of Police Rafael Lopez resigned and disappeared after warnings of a fate similar to Culiacan's slain mayor and police chief. Gen. Luiz Torrez’s official Cananea residence is being prepared for occupancy.
A special dispatch reports Henry and Napoleon Smith Emmett and Robert Hoosier and Charles Pool indicted for saturating clothing of their enemy James Perkins with coal oil and igniting it causing his death near Mystic Louisiana last month. The accused are noted as prominent local figures.

Of these 198 organizations received charters, including 98 new local unions 57 city central bodies 1 international union and 1 State branch union. Total income since Oct 1 1909 to June 1 1910 was 288 644 45 with expenditures 119 926 48 leaving 168 717 95.

Napoleonville La June 22 Senate River a well known planter in the upper parish was indicted by the grand jury on arson. The charge stems from the fire that destroyed the house and outbuildings on the Carroll Barton plantation after Barton died and the estate was sold Rivet purchased the property about five months ago and the next day flames gutted the plantation. The estate was insured for nearly the purchase price.
AlotliP Trip inaugurated scheduled time as announced by officials. The event marks the start of a new phase in travel service with expected early runs and coordinated timetable.
Count Zeppelin's airship Deutschland completed the first scheduled trip from Friedrichshafen to Dusseldorf, covering 300 miles in nine hours at about 33 mph.
