Ouachita Parish Jury May Build One Road Reject Another
At Ouachita Parish Police Jury meeting two road proposals sparked debate. A favorable vote approved building a gravel road for the Glenwood Subdivision while a plan to accept a church dedication and build a road in Happy Acres passed 15-4. Montgomery’s gravel road bid failed 13-4 with two abstentions as opponents urged the jury to wait for developer responsibility. The Happy Acres action cited deeded property to White's Ferry Road Baptist Church and an Alton Howard child care plan linked to the church. The diagram of three Howard lots delayed action last week.
