Lineman severely burned in electric pole accident

George Emling, a Cumberland Telephone Company lineman, was seriously burned while working on a pole at Cleveland avenue ontravez street as hooks contacted live wires. Rescued by coworkers, he was taken to Charity Hospital with serious injuries. His brother, also a lineman, died in a similar accident two years ago.
