One horse drawn calcium arsenate sprayer and another nonpoison device shake and collect weevils from knee high cotton. Infections heavier beyond knee high require calcium arsenate spray.

Monroe Seeks 10 Per Cent Duty on Pulp to Aid Factories
Secretary S. M. Collins of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce has asked Louisiana senators and representatives to back a 10 percent duty on imported pulp. He argues Monroe’s vast pulp wood resources and cheap natural gas enable local factories to produce pulp more cheaply than anywhere in the South. The city has already secured a large pulp wood and paper factory and aims to foster more industrial plants.
