Boy Returns From San Francisco After Search For Mother
A 12 year old boy traveled alone by freight from San Francisco to Monroe seeking his mother. The national re employment service located the mother, Mrs Rue Cannon, within an hour of being asked for help. The boy had no last name and remembered Rue as her husband name. The NRS traced Rue Cannon, who is the step father of the boy, and took the lad to his mother's home. The Craighead home aided the boy after he was found on the street. The boy said he rode the freight with conductors helping him along the way. The NRS has aided in locating missing persons and aiding authorities in crimes including murder and assault cases.
