A Neville High School home economics dressmaking and crafts program ends today as two more adult workshops on drapery making and furniture refinishing are scheduled for next week. Teachers Mrs Daisy Daniels and Mrs Dorothy Johnson oversee sessions open to adults and students in Room 359, with additional high school sportswear construction workshop to run June 24.

Members of the St. Joseph Bowmar Society of the Children of the American Revolution will sell lapel flags at various Twin Cities locations to mark Flag Day June 14. The observance recalls the 1777 Continental Congress adoption of the flag and began publicly in Philadelphia in 1893. Residents and businesses in Monroe are urged to fly flags on this day.
